Description
Need a break while your students practice? This Halloween-themed Bingo Review Game is perfect for independent practice Solving 2-step Equations (with a few 1-step mixed in). The activity can also be used for small group or class review game!
How it works:
Hand one out to each student and tell them that the first 10 students to get a Bingo will be in the hat for a random drawing to be the winner (see "Teacher Tip" below) Students will race to solve equations and get a Bingo. This game is a fantastic way to review key concepts and reinforce learning in a competitive, engaging manner.
While the 7th grade Equations Unit focuses primarily on solving 2-step equations, this activity includes a variety of 1-step to review for the upcoming Inequalities Unit.Need a break while your students practice? Pro tip: Play until you have a "Top 10 Bingo Winners" and keep track of the winners on a recording sheet. Then, from the Top 10, use a random number generator to randomly select 1-2 winners. This keeps students engaged beyond the first Bingo winner and it also opens up that the winner can still be anyone in that group. It adds layers of fun/competition beyond the traditional way of playing.
